Case Study: The Clean Air Strategic Alliance
Multi-stakeholder collaboration for clean airsheds

Casa case study cover

In Alberta during the early 1990s there was consensus across sectors that environmental issues were becoming increasingly complex. In response, the Clean Air Strategic Alliance (CASA) was born. CASA is an Alberta-based multistakeholder policy forum that brings together representatives from industry, government and non-profit organizations to address air quality issues. The group recommends strategies to assess and improve provincial air quality, and uses a consensus model to reach its goals.
